About the Role
Ready to take the wheel and make every journey unforgettable? We're looking for a dynamic Tour Captain to lead guests through some of Nova Scotia's most iconic and breathtaking destinations — from the rugged lighthouse at Peggy's Cove to the UNESCO-designated waterfront of Lunenburg, the painted shores of Mahone Bay, and the haunting history of Halifax's Titanic Cemetery. You're not just a driver — you're a storyteller, a host, and the reason guests leave with memories they'll never forget. Responsibilities: - Lead guided tours to Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, and the Titanic Cemetery - Deliver captivating commentary on the history and significance of each destination - Operate passenger vehicles safely and in full compliance with traffic regulations - Ensure the safety and comfort of all guests throughout the experience - Field guest questions with confidence and enthusiasm - Manage logistics including timing, route planning, and headcounts - Adapt the tour experience to suit different audiences and group sizes - Work closely with the team to deliver seamless, top-rated tours Compensation & Benefits: - $18.00 per hour - Flexible scheduling (weekdays, weekends, seasonal) - Tips in addition to hourly wage - Uniform and equipment provided - Opportunities for advancement
Requirements
- Valid Class 4 driver's licence is required - Knowledge of Nova Scotia history, landmarks, and culture (especially the South Shore and Halifax) - Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or customer service preferred - Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills - Friendly, confident, and professional demeanor - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods - Bilingual candidates are an asset
